Admissions Deadlines

How to Apply
 
Step 1: The application for the 2021-2022 school year will be available on October 1. Please fill out the St. Bernard High School Application, which includes an $80 application fee. 
 
The application deadline is Friday, January 15, 2021. Please ensure you submit all required documents to accompany the online application. Any items listed under the checklist are required.
 
*For Prospective transfer students:
1. Please upload official transcripts only. Copies of your report card will not be accepted. 
2. If you're scheduled to remediate any grades at an online school, please submit courses, along with the course description for us to verify if it meets the A-G graduation requirements.
3. Please note St. Bernard High School must approve any and all coursework taken at another academic institution for completion of curricular progress. 
 
***The entire application is digital, including the letters of recommendation. Please make sure you have the correct email address for your child's teachers, and in the parent portal, you simply enter their email address and they will receive a copy of the recommendation form to fill out and send back to us. 
 
Step 2: Register for HSPT Prep Program and Test - (For incoming freshman students only) 
 
*If you submit an application and your student participated in the HSPT Program at SBHS, they will automatically be registered for the HSPT Official Test on January 23, 2021. If your student is applying to other schools, you may request we send their HSPT scores to other schools. There is a form we will have available the morning of the exam. 
 
Step 3: Admissions Interviews 
 
The admissions committee will conduct admissions interviews on Thursday, February 4- Saturday, February 6. 
 
Your student will be notified of their interview date once an application has been submitted with all of the required documents (Letters of Recommendations, Transcripts, Immunization Records, Birth Certificates, HSPT results). 
 
Step 4: Admissions Notification 
You will be notified of our admissions decision on Friday, March 5, both electronically and mail. 
 
Step 5: Viking Registration Day! 
On Saturday, March 13 your family will be introduced to our faculty, and staff, select your courses for the school year, sign up for Honors readiness exams, and answer any questions you may have.
