Admissions Deadlines

How to Apply
Step 1: The application for the 2021-2022 school year will be available on October 1. Please fill out the St. Bernard High School Application, which includes an $60 (non-refundable) application fee. The application fee will increase to $80 after January 1. 
The application deadline is Friday, January 21, 2022. The entire application is digital. You are not required to print out any documents. Please upload all of the required documents that are listed under the checklist. For teacher recommendations, simply enter the teacher's email address, and the form will be emailed to them. There is nothing else required for you to do once the form is emailed to them. 
Step 2: Please have your student submit a three-minute video on Flip Grid by January 14. There will be three questions for them to answer. 
*For Prospective transfer students:
1. Please upload official transcripts only. Copies of your report card will not be accepted. 
2. If you're scheduled to remediate any grades at an online school, please submit courses, along with the course description for us to verify if it meets the A-G graduation requirements.
3. Please note St. Bernard High School must approve any and all coursework taken at another academic institution for completion of curricular progress. 
***The entire application is digital, including the letters of recommendation. Please make sure you have the correct email address for your child's teachers, and in the parent portal, you simply enter their email address and they will receive a copy of the recommendation form to fill out and send back to us. 
Step 2: HSPT Official Exam - (For incoming freshmen students only
*If you submit an application at SBHS, your student will automatically be registered for the HSPT Official Exam on Saturday January 15, 2022. If your student is applying to other schools as well, you may request we send their HSPT scores to other schools. There is a form we will have available the morning of the exam. 
Step 3: Admissions Interviews- Wednesday, February 2- Friday, February 4. 
You will be allowed to select a date and time that works for you through a Sign Up Genius link. 
Your student will only receive the sign up genius link if we have all of the required documents (Letters of Recommendations, Transcripts, Immunization Records, Birth Certificates, HSPT results). 
Step 4: Admissions Notification 
You will be notified of our admissions decision on Friday, March 4, both electronically and mail. 
Step 5: Viking Registration Day! 
 Yay! You're now a member of the Viking family! Your family will be introduced to our faculty, and staff, select your courses for the school year, sign up for Honors readiness exams, and answer any questions you may have.
