2025 Summer Bridge for Incoming 9th Grade Students

➢ Tailored specifically for incoming 9th graders, our dynamic Summer Bridge Program is designed to empower students with the essential academic, social, and spiritual skills necessary to excel in high school and beyond.

➢ Participants will strengthen their algebra skills and refine their writing abilities, ensuring they hit the ground running from day one. Through engaging activities and collaborative projects, students will forge friendships with their new classmates (drawn from over 40 different schools!) and develop crucial leadership qualities that will serve them well throughout their high school career, college, and adult life. Our program also offers invaluable insights into college and career preparation, helping students confidently envision and begin to shape their futures.

Summer School Policies
 
  • Summer School Uniform: You must wear SBHS uniform shorts, pants, or skirt
    and an SBHS shirt, team shirt, or another uniform shirt. The regular SBHS dress
    code policy applies. For details, please see SBHS pp. 28-31 in the SBHS
    Parent-Student Handbook.
    *Incoming Freshmen Students Only: Solid color polo shirt and navy blue or khaki shorts
    or pants.
 
  • Attendance: Attendance is mandatory for all summer school days. Students
    missing more than three classes will be dropped from the class with no refund
    issued. The parent should address questions or concerns regarding summer
    school attendance to the administrator before summer school starts. Students
    with excessive tardiness in terms of the number of times and number of minutes
    tardy will have their grades lowered and may be dropped from the class.
 
  • Summer Office Hours: 7:30 am - 2:30 pm. St. Bernard operates a closed
    campus. For summer supervision and student safety, students may only be on
    campus if they have assigned courses or are under the direct supervision of the
    faculty, a coach, or another specific school program. Please arrange to have your
    son/daughter picked up from school as soon as class is dismissed.
